Title: climate control light
Post by: Loch View on 17 February 2009, 22:32:35
My left 2 controls of the CC do not light up. Does anyone know what type of bulbs are used?

I (stupidly) believed the guy at Vauxhall that he knew what I was talking about, and as I'd never seen the bulbs that go in these I believed him, but I was given the wrong bulbs first time round.

I can take a pic tonight if that'd help, but they come in a little plastic holder that holds them in the pcb...     :y

There're five of them in total, if I were you I'd replace all five...    :y

tried the part numbers but can't seem to find them. Where did you get yours?

Vauxhall's...  Not sure you can get them anywhere else, someone else might know that...

After I'd taken my centre console to bits I took one out and went back (after having put it back together) so I could show them what I wanted...

I'm actually wanting to replace them with LED bulbs as they are brighter and last a lot longer.

I forgot to ask....
The display in the cc is hardly visible at day and impossible to see at night. I'm guessing new bulbs won't fix that?

LEDs came today, replaced all 5 and all work except the display for the fan speed. Swapped bulbs around but no luck.
I was fortunate with the radio though, the code was written on the outside of the casing ;D

I'm not too bothered really. At least I can see to what temp it's set again. The fan speed I can adjust by ear  ;)
