My left 2 controls of the CC do not light up. Does anyone know what type of bulbs are used?
-
No one :(

I (stupidly) believed the guy at Vauxhall that he knew what I was talking about, and as I'd never seen the bulbs that go in these I believed him, but I was given the wrong bulbs first time round.
I can take a pic tonight if that'd help, but they come in a little plastic holder that holds them in the pcb... :y
-
:)Thanks
-
There're five of them in total, if I were you I'd replace all five... :y
-
tried the part numbers but can't seem to find them. Where did you get yours?
-
Vauxhall's... Not sure you can get them anywhere else, someone else might know that...
After I'd taken my centre console to bits I took one out and went back (after having put it back together) so I could show them what I wanted...
-
I'm actually wanting to replace them with LED bulbs as they are brighter and last a lot longer.
-
I wouldn't know where to start with that to be honest... Sorry... :-/
-
No worries mate. Thanks anyway :y
-
these might be the correct type

They look about right :) :y Couldn't be certain though (car's at home with the old bulbs in)
-

Thank God someone who knows what they're talking about turned up :y :y
-
My only issue now is....
do I need coloured or white :-/
Don't know if the dash is pre-coloured
-
Yes but only slightly, if you fit a coloured one it will show the colour (just don't get gay blue ;D)
-
lol no, not blue.
I'd go for red then :)
-
Great link Rudd.
Though thay state thats dash bulbs i.e speedo rather than centre console...or are they the same fitting.
5 behind the centre console....how many behind the dash??

Have a look here (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1233102378) :y

thanks :y

I forgot to ask....
The display in the cc is hardly visible at day and impossible to see at night. I'm guessing new bulbs won't fix that?

In the temp and fan speed you mean? yeah thats 3 of the 5 bulbs ;)

Oh cool..thanks mate :y
-
And don't forget the cable ties on the release bar to save scratching up your hands next time you gotta have the climate out :y
-
thanks for the tip :)
I'll need to take the radio out, right?
I do not have the code :(

Yup, radio needs to come out
-
hmm..got to find a way to keep power to the radio then :-/
-
LEDs came today, replaced all 5 and all work except the display for the fan speed. Swapped bulbs around but no luck.
I was fortunate with the radio though, the code was written on the outside of the casing ;D

Awesome :y :y
Don't know what to suggest about that display that's not working though, sorry :-/

I'm not too bothered really. At least I can see to what temp it's set again. The fan speed I can adjust by ear ;)
