Correct Method with alarm from a completely flat Battery.
Haveing not used the Elite since Christmas, all the cold weather etc the battery was totally flat.
Now last time I started the car with a FB I put the key in the inniyion after the alarm started to sound and the car was powered up.
This time, allthough not sure, I think I had the key in the ignition as it was powered up. Couldnt turn off alarm and immobiliser kicked it. Tried both methods after that plus using the remote, and in all honesty I cant tell you which way worked in the end.
Whats the proper way to start the car from a flat battery for future reference.

Remove battery and fully charge it, then refit. Thats the way I do it. ;)

Reconnect the battery then turn the key to number 2 to shut the alarm off and disable the immobiliser :y

That didnt work, but is that because I allready had the key in the ignition as the battery went live.

Was the key turned at all? I've usually got the key in my pocket when I reconnect the battery ;D

Tried putting the key in and turning. Even saw the dash light up, then the immobiliser kicked in and everything went dead, thought I had blown a main fuse.
Tried with key out and then put key in. trying with fob, to lock and unlock.
As I say I dont know how I finally sorted it, All settled, then when I did start the car it fired 1st time as per usual.
No issues since, and battery working/holding charge to start car ok.
