2.6 is OBDII so any reader that is OBDII compliant will do the basics. many of the ELM327 type systems require a "proper" com port on a laptop to work, and the software is a bit hit-and-miss.

I have a USB ELM327 that works, but  is very limited in what it does, so I bought a Maxscan GS500 which I find very good for what it does..Engine codes and resetting EML.

There are others .. but the price for the REAL things .. as against eblay rip-offs gets horrendous IMHO

If you go for a GS500 be careful , the first one I got from eblay was a chinese ripoff/reject and had half the bits missing. I bought one from a non-eblay source and got all the bits and a 12 month warranty..

There have been several threads on this if you want to have a browse back
