Can anyone point me to the selcector switch link to clean and remove it?

But do not use WD 40 to clean it!
Pop into Maplin Basingstoke & get a can of switch cleaner
They are next door to Halfords

And don't forget to adjust it using the 2mm drill as per haynes manual when you refix it. It makes the world of difference.

ok, i have noticed that when depressig the brake or releasing it i used to get a click from the gear selector as normal. However i have noticed this no longer happens, does this point to the selector switch at fault?

In a word, No. More than likely the brake switch up behind the pedal playing up. :y

Can you tell mw where this is and how to test or how to get a replacement etc.
