Bought a carbon steering wheel ages ago and have tried to fit twice now first time found the airbag wont fit so sorted that and got hold of one tried again today and found the blood squib wont fit looks like I need a different one (sounds about right) but looks like it fits different as well so need to get what looks to be a white plastic bracket that it fits to.
I am thinking it would have been easier to change the whole bloody rack and then I could get the adjustable one fitted.
Has anyone else had this problem???????

Can't be too difficult, picture in Haynes looks to show a split collar/pinch bolt set up :-/ . You could always opps up it up try it in the scrap yard first as a practice ::) I haven't been to Pimhole for a while (apart from my facelift Elite alloys), but there's bound to be one there.

They look good,i d fancied some for a while. I'll be happier with some proper rubber on them, 2 Events & 2 A N Others :-? There's a definite difference in ride though between 16" & 17" rims, we could do with les potholes around here. :y :y :y

The transpoder/ignition bit doesn't look too easy to swap though. I had a quick look for someone here ( :-[ can't now remember) while I photo'd mine to compare against his butchered ignition.

Did'ent think about that bit mite just have to stick with swapping the bits i need over and hope that does it.
Glad to hear you like them and i know what you mean about pot hole's same round here i try to do my best getting round them but must look like i've had a few to the people behind. ;D ;D ;D

Easy enough to do, and there is info in the maintenance section.
I think the adjustable steering column is a must have.

Certainly makes getting instrument panel in and out a damn sight easier, even if you don't need to adjust column normally ;D

Well went to the brakers got new squib and plastic bracket and the squib has no conector on and had to gut the wires just hope they are the same on mine so i can split and solder the new squib to it but will have to check cause all the set up looks different from mine so expect me to back on with pics to try and sort this once and for all. I really want this to go on but not looking to good at the mo.
Did'ent get the full steering rack as it was non-ajustable same as what i already have. Would like to have that option though.
