Title: New doors - fitting and bits needed

My rear doors are getting terrible around the arch and the wife is nagging me to tidy it up :-[

Seen some on ebay which are from a facelift but pressume they're the same shape (off a V plate saloon)?

what parts can i transfer from my doors and what will i need to replace new i.e. those bloody side trims that bend and never fit again?

Is it a hard job to transfer glass and associated rubber trim / seals as these doors are just the bare metal (and some paint)?

should be able to swap over any door internals within an hour or so if you need to

Jake its a nice & simple job i can give you hand if you want i done my front doors easily.

just swap the door cards over i used new pins on the doors too

you do need one person to hold the door while another hammers the pins in the doors are very heavy!

i got a set of mint rust free z147 doors for £50 come with glass speakers etc

The doors i'm looking at haven't got any glass in and they're £50 each delivered so might look around.

Also being an early elite my door cards have got the rear window demisters built in so wondered how the ducting works for these?

Mine is too but I can only get cold air out of them :(

sucks air in from footwell, and blows up window.  So if no hot air in footwells.......

i know Fred (City Spares) had a star silver CDX but i bet he would want galactic prices for some doors! but that CDX was rust free i expect hes bailed it now anyway last time i went there was 3 months ago
