Title: Sticky rev counter
Post by: VXL V6 on 02 February 2009, 19:34:22
As per title, rev counter seems to stick when when revs rise then jump up to where it should be, when revs fall the needle drops smoothly.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a loose wire between the clocks and the loom! Try pushing them in and see if it sorts it.

Had the clocks out to swap the GID for a CID but the rev counter is still the same.

Tempted to buy another clock set of ebay and swap the rev counter motor or whatever bit it is over if that's at all possible.

Just noticed this post. I have exactly the same symptoms with my rev counter (2001 2.6 V6). Have you resolved yours yet?
