Hi I wonder if anyone can help me. Had a new cam belt fitted to my V reg, 2000, v6 3.0 elite 400miles ago. The car developed a missfire, and I was told it was the head gasket (£2000+ to fix! ouch!) So I opted for a bottle of Steal Seal - seemed to have worked a treat. Missfire gone. However (& maybe coincidentally) the car will not start. It turns over, but will not fire. However it did start, and ran fine, one time out of 20 tries. Prior to my cambelt change, this car was flawless.

Worth paperclipping or reading codes as maybe a dodgy crank sensor.
Some concern re problems occurring since new cam belt (trust it was kit and not just belt) fitted - maybe other sensors damaged by mechanic or worse still belt slipped!!
Head gasket failure on V6s very rare!
