If only it had a proper gearbox  :'(

OK 18 months newer than mine, two trim levels higher, 20,000 miles more.

4500
so a year +500, trim +500, mileage -200

5000 to 5250 best
4200 worst

Seriously i dont think it will go that high TBH......that type of car....that age....i think most will shy away from a motor that done over 100k....wrongly in my opinion.....but most think like that

Has Tunnie's 2.2 got an engine? Every time he puts his foot down, if makes a lot of noise, nothing else happens  ;D

Thought it was going like the wind since he done the breathers.  ::)

I wouldn't touch this car anyway, all the bolt covers are in place on the plenum, that surely can't be right?

Second gear never ever worked on my Chopper, bloody Sturmey Archer!

And wasn't that gear knob in a very dodgy place on the early Choppers? I had many a close call.  :-?

The SA 3 speed was easy to set up (when you knew how) and reliable.  IIRC, is was put in 2nd gear, then adjust so shoulder of adjuster lined up  (used to work in a toy and cycle shop - best job I ever had :))

Squashed many a bollock on that lever though  [smiley=thumbdown.gif]

Beautiful... In spite of the lack of leather... I am almost tempted to upgrade my 2001 CDX... Only problem is that mine has less than half the mileage of the Elite... and it has leather... hmm....

Well, i'm gonna tell you, and Jim can back me up if you don't believe me....

I had a Chopper with Grifter handlebars. I think that's why my back gives me so much bother now.

You could pull some great wheelies with it though.  ;)

If its just me in it, it's quick enough. Add passengers and it soon slows down  :(

But on the upside, comming back from my Uni room the other night, filled up @ 86.9  :)

Got to my junction on the M40, about 67 miles after filling up........ cruise was set @ 80 all the way, flipped to 'Range' and it said 527 miles!  :D

Since i regually get 450 miles from a tank, its slower to 60 but won't me making as many stops  ;)

just did a quick google on 0-60's interesting reading:

2.2 Manual - 0-60: 9.5 Seconds

2.5 Auto - 0-60: 9.2 Seconds

3.0 MV6 Auto 0-60: 8.7 Seconds

Use those 0.8 seconds wisely Jaime  ;) ;D

Propper gearbox makes it all worth while  ;)

Well I reckon the times for the 3.0 are pessamistic, and I have noticed my 2.6 is quicker to 30 than a 3.0 but a little slower to 60 so 0-60 is similar but over 70 the 3.0 was quite a bit quicker. That said I never managed to flat out any of my last 4 cars.
