Title: starting problem

After running very low on deisel, having probs starting. Soon flattens battery. ( battery , alternater & glowplugs are OK ) I,m wondering if I.ve blocked a filter. If so how do I rectify it . Or could it be a more serious problem.

Hmmm, sounds plausable, there is a filter in the tank, plus one near the engine. I am sure there is a "How to" on here for the tank one, apparently these are prone to blockages. I am sure someone will advise soon.
