Title: Valve Spring Compressor
Post by: Martin_1962 on 21 March 2009, 12:46:56
My old one won't fit.

So what will do the job at a reasonable price?

Thanks

I have one Martin which I bought about 5 years ago and used it once to do my head for my 2.0ltr when I done the head gasket it on it. Your more than welcome to borrow that one if you wish. Let me know and I'll post it to you.

The spring compressor I used on my CiH Carlton wouldn't fit the 24 valve Senator head, the valves were recessed too much for it. I'd had to buy something like ....this (http://Ihttp://www.justoffbase.co.uk/Valve-Spring-Compressor-Multi-Valve-Sealey-VS154;jsessionid=0a0104451f43a370eaf5b6454b72a0fedb7d785e1619.e3eSbNmQaheLe3aNay0?sc=9&category=213)

I'd had ....... one of these (http://www.justoffbase.co.uk/Valve-Spring-Compressor-OHV-Sealey-VS152;jsessionid=0a0104451f43a370eaf5b6454b72a0fedb7d785e1619.e3eSbNmQaheLe3aNay0?sc=9&category=213)

hmmm, your "this"clicky wont work but the other one is similar to mine exept mine has a black handle!, ive come across recessed valves before so resorted to putting a spacer in between [probably a socket] ;)
