Title: 3.2 tick over
Post by: feeutfo on 20 March 2009, 00:07:04
no codes, have compared with Kevin Woods mv6 3.2 and its not dissimilar, and when described he said his is the same. I was suprised  it was not as smooth as my old 2.5 when i got it but obviously there are bigger pistons flying up and down.

Then today it had a couple of hick ups like it was about to stall, by the time i looked at the rev counter is was hard to tell but it in reality it was probably only a 100 rpm dip, but the car did have a little shudder. As said no codes, i just did the pedal trick.

The smoothness is one thing, but I am a bit concerned about the dip/shudder. What could cause this?

Drive by wire throttle body? Cleaned the throttle plates about 6 months ago.

Crank sensor maybe? I have a spare in the boot. :-)

No trouble codes? I had a P0335 when the crank sensor failed.

Is yours still on the original one?

Kevin

could it have been the aircon coming on  if you have auto selected on the control unit it would start automatically, and the system starting would change the enigne note and revs.
