Anyone using one of these , just wondered if it would make any difference to performance ? Thanks in advance

I believe the oil used in them creates problems with the Maf sensor.
Cone filters make the car sound nice when giving it death but don't actually make the car perform any better, plus they draw warm air in :y

Thanks Daz , I will leave well alone then !
Take care

I've have a lightly oiled Piper Cross element fitted in the original air box which is ok but wouldn't say it gives any noticeable power improvements, sound ok though and not had any MAF problems(yet ::)) :y.

K&N Panel - very little difference - possibly a little quicker but I already had it.

General opinion here seems to be that the standard jobbie is as good as anything else.
Having said that, I have a Pipercross wash and re-fit jobbie, but only as I fitted it before I knew any different. ::)

From lots of experiance with induction kits and the GM V6 DONT Bother it will just wreck the MAF costing £100 to put right
they have oil on them which gets onto the MAF element and coats the maf element in oil thus giving duff info :y
All Oiled Airfilters cause this ie Pipercross panel filter & K&N Panel filter
unless they are oil free then dont bother
The stock system works well so any aftermarket parts will not increase perfomance they might decrease it!
if you want some noise drill some holes in the standard box :y :y :y :y
