Could be a long night ahead. lol.
Got a knocking from steering, sounds like it's coming from by the pedals as opposed to outside the cockpit.
Think its only when I turn the steering wheel to the right though. only noticing it at low speeds, i.e. when parking.
Whats the problem likely to be and how do I solve it? Is it still safe to drive? :(

Drop links. Common fault.
Search the maint guides and its a straightforward, inexpensive, fix. :y

sorry guys being a dumb a** tonight. Have searched for droplinks, came up with 15 or so old posts cant find anything as to help or advise changing them. HELP!!!! or just someone slap me across the face :-?

Otherwise known as anti roll bar stabiliser link rods; try searching some of those words. Results or not, they're really easy to change, quick, and satisfying. I'm sure Haynes has instructions for replacement but you should be able to work out how to do it without instructions. Its as simple as undoing two nuts, releasing old link (might have to jack up suspension strut to take up the strain) and replacing, tightening to required torque.
Good luck

Thank you very much for the vote of confidence, Bearing in mind that my hammer is the most commonly used part of my tool kit along side my 10mil spanner. lol Don't currently have a haynes but now as the proud owner of 2 migs ( well 1 and a half after this evenings work) think it might be worth the £15 or so. :y
