Title: Parts required for oil cooler replacement.
Post by: ScottieMV6 on 31 March 2009, 15:24:41
Can anyone give me a definitive list of parts required to do the oil cooler?

Cash is tight at the minute but if I can get a list I can buy a few bits at a time when I have some spare cash.

So far I know that I need

Oil cooler and plate
Sealant for plate (grey stuff)
Oil cooler pipe "O" rings
New washers for coolant bridge
Coolant
Something to flush the cooling system

Do I need new bolts for the oil cooler and coolant bridge?

I assume it wise to change oil and filter whilst doing this or is this not necessary? I only changed the oil and filter about 2 months ago!

If anyone has part numbers that would be a bonus  :P

Thanks serek.

I thought I had seen it somewhere but I just couldn't find it!  :y

On this page TB mentions an oil cooler kit being cheaper. Is this all the parts in one kit?

Oil cooler kit comprises cooler, cooler plate, the two o-rings on cooler and the two 30mm nuts.
