Personally, I use pattern filters from my convenient local factors with no problems.

However, you may well find that Vx own-brand filters are competitively priced anyway, so it's your choice really.
As an aside, my local Vx people flogged me four 5-litre cans of 10/40 semi-synthetic engine oil for around £34 quid.
As my 2.5TD gets an engine oil/filter-change every 2.5K miles, I reckon that's a bargain for pukka stuff.

As yours is a later engine, it takes the cheaper filter :) - Around £5 from dealer on tradeclub.

My old tractor - same x25dt engine as yours - I always used genuine filter, and the price was good :y

As Sethsmate says, 4 x 5l cans of GM semi synth is around £37 inc VAT on Tradeclub.  If you're not in the trade, you can get a TC card for £20 per year - well worthwhile
