Could be the exhaust box.
Happened on my Senator, the backbox collapsed internally and the fibreglass soundproofing bunged up the whole box. Sounded like "Stephenson's Rocket"
Tried a powerwasher which temporarily cured it, but more fibreglass just bunged it up again.
Rgds

Well I checked to tyre last night,

What do you know, it was the bloody tyre, had a screw in it flat down to the floor and I didnt see it

To cap it all of couldnt locate the locking wheel nut fitting  >:(

Finally got the car to the local garage who serviced her last year, who kindly informed me they had placed it in a safe place.... tucked within the picnic mat in the left side pocket

Anyway repair done, no cost involved

I is happy  ;D :D
