My 2.2 will start but only runs at tickover,(approx 1000rpm) there is no throttle response whatsoever, the revs stay more or less constant and will keep the car moving. Could it be the throttle sensor or might it be the air mass meter. Any help welcome, please!

I would suspect that the potentiometer in the throttle assembly is knackered ( unfortunately it is non repairable)or the wire connecting the potentiometer to the emu is loose or broken - check the securityof the wire connection going into the throttle body
You really need to have your car conected to a tech 2 reader in order to establish the problem

Your lucky, TheBoy and myself are in Northants too (Brackley).
Drop a PM to TheBoy, he has a full tech2 which can test it

I think NN7 is the other side of the county, but will it make it over to deepest Brackley on the Northants/Oxon/Bucks border?
