Title: Can some one help me with Model/Ref. Number?
Post by: mizanur on 02 April 2009, 17:29:58
elloo,

can some one help to identify my omega speedmaster pre-moon watch. i think i have looked every where on the net to get hold the mode/ref.  for this watch however i have had no joy. on saying that, i have found some thing similar to this with the model/ref. CK 2998 however you may notice that the shape of that second hand is different to mine.

many thanks in advance.

'Fraid not - we are a car site (Vauxhall/Opel Omega) not a watch site.

My brother is an Omega (watch) authorized centre in deepest Oxfordshire (UK) if you're really stuck...

Speedmaster I assume then that it is a big V6 and pre moon, I suppose that could be pre facelift.

Sounds like it is a MiniFacelift MV6, try cleaning the breathers and changing the cam cover seals, also when was the cam belt last changed?

Also do a paper clip test and make sure you are not getting 19s, if you are you need a crank sensor

He's wise to wise guys ;D

Saying that, I've seen him manhandle a customer from one of his shops, with a "Don't come back" comment :o
