Out picking up tea last night, my mum and I hit on a ridiculous idea... yet for some reason it keeps surfacing in my mind's eye.
An Omega... Coupe. Along the lines of that bonkers Merc CL thing, with the two massive doors. Now, I think it'd be far too much effort, having the whole structural rigidity problem... but how do Merc do it?

Coupe has been done (think there are some pics) in Germany.
Nothing hard about a coupe, the roof is still there, a good convertible is difficult as it requires extra section in the floor pan to maintain the rigidity.

Just need someone to donate their Omega to Bernie and Leepu and we'll see what happens ;D

Pete, your mum is an omega nut? :o Respect :y

It'll be EASY. Just give it to the Top Gear boys. Remember, they made a 2CV limo and a Espace Convertible.
If they can do it..... ;)

Wellaye. She loves my car (though is yet to drive it anywhere other than round a big car park)... loves the sound and performance of the V6. She's well into her cars, and now her driving, since I set her up with my Rospa observer. (Not like that...)

Bah. Have to have a look-see. Cheers! :y
