Title: Vauxhall Service History Info Required

Quick question....

If a vauxhall has full main dealer history would this be stored somewhere within Vauxhall....in other words is there any way of contacting vx and verifying it, if its been done by a "main dealer"

Looking at an Omega with FSH but the seller has quite honestly advised they dont know if cambelt has been done ( its a 48k car)

Any way ( as seller is trade) of verifying this. ie if i found out the garage that serviced it would they confirm to me if they had done the  belts or would "DPA" prohibit it?

They should have the information, would need to give the garage the reg number etc., as long as all servicing was done at said garage :y....you would'nt need the address of previous owner, the reg etc., should pull the info up?

If you know the dealers where it came from, try writing them a letter asking them about the service history, they'll do you a print out, ask nicely...  no charge....  I approached Sylk in Macc.....

I've had main dealers print off history for cars I'm interested in. Only info from that dealer chain though

thanks guys....so i need to find out who serviced it and talk nice to them....heres hoping.  :y

However i guess it will be tomorrow ( doesnt time fly when at work  ::))

My MV6 (which is now for sale ;)) had been serviced at a main dealers in Blackpool. I rang them and asked if we could have a print out of all the work that had been carried out there and they couldn't have been more helpful.A couple of days later I received a print out in the post.
