Hi Gents - try some Mr Muscle Oven Cleaner - NOT the foam stuff but the stuff in a yellow squirty bottle, apply it to a soft clean cloth (the gauze type polishing cloth is ideal) and not directly squirted onto the bit you want to clean,  try it on an unseen bit of the belt first just to make sure it doesn't discolour it.

My friend at the local body shop uses this stuff to get rid of dirty finger marks on white roof linings etc.

Hope it helps - but like I said, try a small area first to see.

Regards

Darren

1001 carpet cleaner or 1001 spot cleaner, they do a great job without getting the straps to wet, also good for most of the interior as well as the carpets.  :y
