Tempted to buy one of those wokshop manuals from Fleebay. Are they any good or a waste of my hard earnt.

I fell into that trap before I found this forum, dont buy, I've found it a total waste of money.

If its a CD or similar, chances are its an illegal copy, thus no talk of it here ;)

If, by chance, it is genuine, TIS2000 is useful, but clunky to use.

Haynes is worthwhile as well, but not at full price...

I recently purchased one of these and to be honest other than providing the fault codes and tyre pressures oh and correct timing setup the disc will make a good cup stand.

Save your money and ask for any advice through OOF you get far better more accurate data than you do from these discs. :y

Whats the part above the oil filter, allie body with 2 rubber hoses going in to it then??? as mines leaking coolant from the body at the back, is it easy to replace remove repair etc etc....Help

If I remember rightly its just a housing that has a rubber o ring type seal on the back.

You will have to remove both hoses and it is held in place by two torq bolts. Remove these and then it will just pull away. You will need to purchase a new seal from vx or just use a tube of Locktite Blue from Halfords. Make sure it is all dry prior to putting the sealant on and fit straight back on. Tighten bolts refit hoses and refill system.

Personally I would purchase a new seal and use the sealant just to make sure of a good seal.  :y

No problem mate, but the above info is correct just as long as they havent changed the engine so much from the 2.0. The 2.2 is the newer version but I belive it is the same.

Best thing is to go into your local vx parts dealership and tell them you are looking for that seal and get them to show it you on the screen. It will show you the whole assembly stripped down in stages. I do this from time to time if Im unsure on how things come apart  ::)

Will do mate, but my local dealership parts dept are US, just young lads who don't give a S***. And the parts are never in stock or are on back order. Moan over, thanks again for your help.
