Title: key cutting

My mate has given me one of those flip key remotes it was for his 04 veccy but he sold it,but gave me the key,now I know it won't work my central locking cos mines infra red,all I want it for is the flip cos it looks cool!! ;D
I've bought the blank blade & fitted it,now my problem is I cant get it into the several locksmiths heads that it does'nt need programming,does any you guys know any decent locksmiths that know what they are doing/saying? I only want it cutting!(in Leicester)

Just tell them you want it mechanically cut, and you have the facilities to program it

If they are that thick, try taking the blade out of the flip remote and give them the blade only to cut, then the flip part doesn't confuse them.
Pity you don't live closer to me, as I could have done it myself.

Afaik those flip fobs cant be programmed for the omega...and the omega key fob internals dont fit... do they?

Would be nice to have a flip fob.
