I have tried EVERYTHING to get my car sorted. Can anyone help.

I have since taken my car to the auto electrician for 3 hours yesturday who says my whole engine needs to be stripped and car on the ramp.
The diagnostics read.
Lamber 1 bank 1 was all over the place holding readings before jumpin.
Lamber 1 bank 2 was good.
lamber 2 bank 1 was reading 20 without movement - should be 450
lamber 2 bank 2 was also reading 20 without movement.
0130, 0300, 0301,0303,0305
But all cylinders have been checked, plugs and coil bank. everything is ok.
Can anyone else suggest anything as it is going to cost me £200 to get the engine stripped thats without even guarenteeing to find the problem them parts on top.
PLEASE HELP.

Fault codes look suspicious, as does B2S1 readings

Well, stripping the engine won't help at all.
Get it to a Tech 2 and have a look at the live data, I'd say.

I would start looking at the gearbox as this has all happened since the new one was fitted. It might not have anything to do with it but you never know. Failing that then replacing the O2 sensors all round.

I have to say this is exact same symptoms as edmsecurity had with his 3.2(same engine colin) he had new clutch fitted (manual) at Mr clutch in Slough. Seems they removed the battery(good practice to remove power, something i often forget to do)but on refiting connected the battery in reverse, maybe fitted back to front, and this buggered the ecu. The leads only have to brush/touch the terminals i guess?
Exact same symptoms it seems to me. Cleared codes, drove car for 500yards all ok, then missfire, engine light, poor running, struggled to reach 30mph.
New coil pack, 4 in his case, made no difference. No wiring problems or trapped wires.
I posted the link in the original thread colin posted at the top, links is to page 3 though so youll need to read from the start if need be.
Need to eliminate all other possibles before condeming ecu, but sounds like nearly at that stage with this?

ok - here are my thoughts on this - hope they help
You clearly have a difficult problem to fix, there is nothing obviously wrong otherwise the various people you have approached will have spotted it by now.
second, stripping the engine for £200 will not help. for a start I don't know exactly what 'stripping the engine' would encompass. your auto electrician needs to be specific - he has given you a specific cost £200 so what is he specifically going to so. I'm pretty sure that the answer here is that he doesn't know.
diagnosis of this problem has got to be systematic and methodical. you must eliminate each piece at a time, and not get tempted into relacing parts as you go: this will be frustrating and expensive.
it sounds to me that you need someone knowledgable with auto electrics but also specifically the omega set up - otherwise he will be learning as he goes. that points to one of the experts on here (I'm not one of them). so is there a way that you could get to see them or get them to see you: this will probably cost you a bit but almost certainly less than some 'professional' who is learning as he goes
sorry for not offering an instant solution but do continue. My view is that the problem you have was caused by the work done on the gearbox AND you should be holding the garage responsible for it.

Dont know where you are ... update your location and someone near may be able to help with Tech2 or Pc based diagnostics :y

4 too many, all on same drivers side, nout wrong with the original....:-)
