Forgive me if i am wrong but i take it that either ( when talking about or advising people to check car with tech2 )  this is a diagnostic machine that reads omegas and
why tech2?

Tech2 is the machine that does ALL vauxhalls (and some other GM makes with a different memory card added.

Called tech2 cos it replaced tech1  ;D

Yes! The proper Tech II being the proper box of tricks that The Boy & Perrys have and costs £thousands.
It supercedes Tech I  :y :y

yes, but none can do as much a a tech2 (and tis) combination can

You can buy, what is commonly refered to here as a Cheapo Tech II for £25/£30 from eBay and use via a serial ported laptop. Will read codes (in Hungarian) and reset airbag lights!  :y

the real tech2 will

I believe "My Naff Code Reader" will, but have yet to try my copy on a non enabled facelift ;)
