Evening all
I am currently in the process of Opel-ising our MV6......Dont ask me why, just something I want to do (think the Opel grille looks nicer than the Vx one etc)
But just wondered......
Does anybody know how to take off the Vx badge in the centre of the steering wheel? Is it airbag off jobbie?? If so can I do it myself or is it a complicated/dangerous operation?
Also, whats the best way to remove all exterior Vx badging causing as little damage as possible to the underlying paintwork
Many thanks in advance of any help given
Cheers
Martyn

A little tip from long ago with removing glued on badges.
Try lighter petrol, the stuff you get for proper cigarette lighters not the gas type.
Just pour it on and leave it for a few mins then re-apply whilst waggling the badge, it should break free, but dont put the badge glue side down as the glue will reform.
With the badge off wipe the surface of the panel and use some more lighter petrol to remove any residue.
Job done 8-)

Sure the steering wheel badge should just pop out mate.

Mmm? Mine has a dent, I wouldn't mind a 'new' one ;)

I saw the steering wheel badges on Ebay for sale and it looks like there are 3 'prongs' comng out the back of it.....Dont know whether to just try and prise it out or will that risk breaking it and/or the airbag cover?

You could always practice in a local scrap yard ::) ..... that's if you can find an Omega ( I struggled today :( )

Thats a good idea Andy, Megavaux is only a couple of miles from here
If they wont let me try myself I am sure they can tell me what it entails.......
