hi can i change just the bushes on the front wishbones or do they come as a complete kit.
which tyres would u recommend 225/55/16.
can i change the language on the display its in germany at the moment.
cheers martin

your aswell just buying the complete wishbones, saves struggling to push the old bushes out (or burn them out) as you have to with volvos lol!

If one were to buy from ebay- how should one look for quality or should we always buy new VX wishbones?
Any links to a pattern ones welcome.
Thx
-
they should just be to "OE" spec.
if you want to pay 65 pound per wishbone then go for VX parts but imo not really worth paying double for

A lot of members recommend Buy Parts By................

Although newer models are sold with 225/55 16 for your model (97) I recommend 225/50 16 to get similiar circumference .. Or your speedo will measure wrong values which will require Tech 2 to correct the problem..
if budget permits goodyear Eagle F1, Bridgestone Potenza adrenalin , Continental sporti contact 2 and Michelin Pilot sport 2 have good test results for dry and wet..Kumho KU31 are also good for a cheaper solution..

Thanks & I take we don't need to worry about changing bushes if we replace this set, right? :y
Apologies for the novice question

if you will only change the bushes there are different brands..

Yes, I got 4 new tyres and a geometry set up after I changed my wishbones - feels like a different car :y

If you remove the hub carriers to change the wishbones then you will DEFINITELY need a full geometry setup - and removing the hub carriers makes the wishbone install a hell of a lot easier.
I was at WIM this morning after doing my wishbones a week ago - the hawkeye 'before' display looked like a clown car, they were so far out. :D :D ;D

Geometry set up. Sets wheels at correct angles for camber caster and toe front and back. You will need this no matter how you change your wishbones. Other wise the car will handel like a bowl of jelly and youll wipe out a perfectly good pair of tires and any further replacements until set correctly. A must!
Also very important. Torque the bolts correctly, and with the car on the ground suspension loaded, or the bushes will fail early. This makes access under the car difficult with a long torque wrench but you can do them up bft with a ratchet to hold the bush at the right angle then re jack the car to finally torque the bolts. Hth
