Title: mv6 diff?
Post by: Gubz on 21 April 2009, 13:50:35
hey i have a manual 3.0 Mv6 an was wondering does anyone know how much they can be chipped and remapped up to?  Also does certain models of Omegas have limited slip diffs as standard? If so are they 1-way, 1.5 or 2-way?

Superchips claim arround 10bhp extra, there's some on ebay that claim arround 25 extra but I personally wouldn't go there.

Ive tried a Superchip on my 3.0 MV6 and currently running a Courtenay remap chip (no, Im not rich, they were both freebies), cant honestly say they make that much difference. The Courtenay one seems to give better Mid range and slightly better MPG.

You might be better off spending your effort and cash on reclaiming those lost horses from when the engine was new.

As for the LSD, dont think any was fitted as standard, most were fitted on Plod.
