Title: knocking front suspension

just come back from 1500 miles in scotland :y ;D and now got a knocking in the drivers side front suspension :'(  it was'nt there when i left but some of the scottish roads were a bit rough.    also how long do wishbones last as i'm starting to get a 50mph shake

First port of call to check would be the drop links - that's the bar that drops vertically down into the wishbone.

If that's fine, it could well be your bushes.

But it could well be worth checking your wheelnuts are tight enough and haven't worked themselves a little loose.

I'd also check that there's no play in the wheelbearings.

But my money would be on the drop-links  :y

Drop links first mate - cheap and easy/quick to swap.

Knocking almost certainly the droplink which bolts to the shock strut and the anti-roll bar, clearly visible in the link below.........

i replaced both wheel bearings before i left

the dreaded mot is only a few weeks away so i might aswell change the droplinks ans wishbones then
