Title: Engine Management Light

1998 2.5V6 Elite Auto Estate

Keep getting EML coming on intermittantly.

Stored codes 74 MAF - Air Flow Sensor (AFS) High voltage.  Cleared code light now off.

The plug for MAF sensor doesn't lock into socket (plastic lock broken) & I've cable tied it to hold it in.  Is this likely to be reason?

if now secure and code cleared should be ok may have moved slightly and caused eml to come on sensitive these sensors :y

sounds like the maf, i had a similar problem, easiest way to find out for sure, is to leave the car ticking over, and disconnect the maf, then re-connect it.
see what results you get.
