Title: Wires behind glovebox
Post by: hoj on 26 April 2009, 00:19:11
Changed the glovebox lock/handle today and noticed a few cut wires and more wires going to a connector block but not plugged into anything
anyone know what the wires/connector should go to
Think there was a blue, red, yellow, and a black that were cut and others went into a smallish 18 pin connector
all were going towards the bottom right of the glovebox BEFORE the glovebox went back in

Not from my own knowledge but previous posts, it might be the hands free phone stuff which is apparently wired in all Migs but just not used in all.

The car did have a phone before i got it and seeing as some of the wires are actually cut you could be right there Jack

At least that is where the redundant connector and wires are usually tucked away, so seems a safe bet that is is the handsfree wiring

Yep, will be the phone prewiring.

Often butchered by crappy phone installers rather than buying the correct loom to plug in.
