Title: Some More Omega Data.
Post by: Golfbuddy on 14 November 2007, 11:18:49
Just for the interest of those who enjoy statistics, and it is a well known fact that 74% of the population do, there is now quite a bit of data in the Omega Data Spreadsheet (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=phH9jJ7FuSBeEt5Enh48DSg&hl=en_GB#).

A little titbit:

Of the 42 cars that are listed, they have done a combined mileage of 4,173,036 miles at an average of 101,781 per vehicle.

The average age of our Omegas is 7.91 years and our average annual mileage is 12,842.

For those of you who aren't totally familiar with the ways of this type of spreadsheet, on some cells you will now see a little orange tab in the corner. If you hover the cursor over the cell a note will appear giving details of an edit or some extra info relating to the data in that cell. Hopefully, by using this facility, it will allow us to keep the data in a standard format. For those who are familiar with Excel, the comment moves with the data and doesn't stay locked to the cell reference.

I have added another sheet which is for recording specific consumption figures, so if you do a long motorway run for instance, it would be possible for others to compare their consumption over a given period at an average speed.

Hope people are finding this of interest.  :)

BvGB, would it be worth adding a sheet that list major components and the time at which they were replaced/failed

Eg. ABS ecu, Oil cooler, AR25's Cats, exhausts, you get the idea
