Ok I received my New MAF today. Just put it on and I'm not happy the EML is still on! :'(
Money I really couldn't do without now wasted!!!
Anyone got any idea's what best to do now please.
-
And the codes are.............
-
10 1 10 10 = 0100
Although I havn't done the pedal trick again since the new MAF has gone on, can go check it again now
-
Definatly 10 1 10 10
-
iirc the usual Maf test of unplugging doesnt seem to make any difference on the DBW engines..?
Basically check wiring along is length and plug connection too and from the Maf.
If you know anyone, another member, swap the mafs over and see. If the lights still on got to be wiring. Just in case your new Maf is duff as well.

Small Development, Just set off to go to B&Q, Car was fine on idle so after i'd fitted the new MAF earlier I didn't suspect anything, well as soon as I pulled out the drive I new something was wrong, jerking all over. So pulled back into drive and put original MAF back on and all is well again, Still have EML on though. Just gonna leave it like that and hope someone at the York meet will be able to help me. :y

Is it made in China.

hmm ive had problems with sensors off "FuelParts" that have caused running issues that were worse than the orginal sensor
i would try a swap with a known working sensor and take it from there i would send that one back if i were you sounds suspect to me
i learnt its best to stick to genuine bits i know they are £££ even with tradeclub but they do usually work 1st time everytime

Well original sensor is back in now, can't afford a VX one right now, cars running fine but its just the EML thats annoying
