Title: can any1 help with codes i got doing pc test?

hi have just done pc test on 2.5 td and got the following codes 48(low battery)85(wrong immobiliser signal)64 fuelquantity control out of range and a code 12 unknown can n e 1 tell me wat a code 12 means and wat the code 64 means thanx :-/ :-/

ok ino that a 12 is start of sequence, code 48 low battery is ok as battery is near flat,85 immobiliser signal ok as clifford alarm fitted so only 1 i need help with is code 64 fuel quantity control out of range ?wat does it mean and how do i fix it watever it is thanx

Hi, welcome to the forum.

You get code 12 flashed out at the start of the display and at the end. It doesn't mean anymore than that.

I cannot remember the codes you have listed but I am fairly sure that if you do a search perhaps in maintenance guides on the forum that there is a list of the codes. Ditto on the Internet but you need to know the ECU of your car (mine for e.g. is a Motronic28 from memory). I can't do a search myself as I am on a very slow poxy dial up
connection.

Hmmm Omegatoy or TheBoy needed for this one really!

AFAIK Quantity control could be issues with either fuel pump or injectors but either of the above memebers will be able to help you out in far more detail.
