Title: Identifying a towbar
Post by: miniator on 04 May 2009, 11:28:51
My facelift has a towbar fitted but the swan neck ball hitch part is missing.

How would i go about identifying the make of towbar (like is it factory fit) so i could pick up a swan neck second hand/possibly new.

cheers!

examine the part attached to the car .somewhere there should be a sticker showing euro compliance and this should also show the manufacturer. or at least the manufacturers id number

do you think the sticker would be located in the boot section or undercar section??

id plate should on tow bar itself. Mine is riveted on to electrical connector plate.

Assuming its a removable tow bar are you sure its not stored in the car somewhere? Boot cupboard perhaps ? Just a thought. :-)
