Well heres a serious answer from me for a change ::)
Sounds like his food is too rich for him.....
Try a blander food .... i used to give mine pedigree...it is a rich food.....tho she didnt have any probs on it.
Ive swapped to Bakers....a lighter food.......and shes even lost some weight :o
-
ive got after the last reply it just came to me, stop feeding him no food no rot problem solved,, :y
-
Charcoal biscuits..... :y
Works.... Honest. ;)

As said previously to rich food is no good for a older dog (if the dog is old ),used to have the same problem with a golden retriever some years back when he got older, vet advised no liver/heart (offal based food),also dry food can cause a problem in a older dog so opt for the lighter version of the food you give him/her,hope this helps.

Clean out the breathers and clear the scuttle - that solves most problems on here :y

go easy on the dog..
lyin down, standing up, walking, jogging, at the dinner table.....
I DO IT WHEREVER I FEEL THE NEED!!

I find blaming it on the dog doesn't work.
Then again, we haven't got a dog. ;D

Jimbob i would try giving him/her bakers complete puppy and you will have no problem ,my six month puppy megan is on it and she loves it and if she breaks wind i never can smell it, its a good dog food.....
-
Hills Science Plan is even better, if you can get the buggers to eat it...
