What is the correct torque value for the oil cooler plate?
Have a look at this excellent very comprehensive guide by JamesV6CDX:

You will note that the 30mm bolts on the plate have to be set at 30nm. ;)

Thanks Lizzie. I have followed that guide to the letter but unfortunately james omitted the values for the 8 bolts that hold the plate down!

Sorry Scottie, so he has!! ::) ::) Obviously the grey sealant is mentioned, and although the main 30mm bolts will be tightened down as per instruction, the plate could be left 'floating' on a loose torque setting!
Until somebody gave me further info, as no doubt they will give you Scottie, I would be inclined to do what I have always done and hand tighten fully then apply 15nm to seal. I understand there is no gasket involved, just the grey sealant, which indicates to me that just a tight fit is required. ;) ;)
I don't know if this helps or not, but when working on all previous cars I frequently did not have all the torque settings available and just applied 'intuition' to the situation, with always sound results obtained!! :D :D ;)

I would hope someone taking on this job would have a tad more common sense than to leave the oil cooler plate floating ;D
Unless it's something critical like head bolts, cambelt pulleys or camcovers etc, I normally use my calibrated hand :y

I have tightened to 15NM so hopefully that will do the job. They felt very tight at that! :y

Oil Cooler Plate bolts need to be 20nm iirc :y
