Title: Help water pump and power steering gone

Please can you help me, the power steering and the water pump have gone on my omega 2.5 cd v6 is it an auxillary belt that controls these or is it the timing belt my car is T reg

It's your auxillary belt that's gone. Don't drive it lke this though, you'll cook it, aswell as having biceps like Arnie! ;) ;)

thanks the vauxhall garage have ordered me the timing belt thought it was an auxillary belt is this a hard job to fix

It is one of the easiest jobs to do on an omega. get yourself a Haynes manual it explains most things.

Check out the tensioner before fitting new belt!

Easy enough to change, though you may need to strip out part of the intake (can be done without, but fiddly).
As said above, check tensioner condition

Same happened to me 2 weeks ago,As long as you didnt drive for long you should be fine,Mine as i was told on this site was the aux belt the spring loaded tensioner had gone(bearing siezed)just check all pullys they should all turn apart from the crank,Easy job as long as you have a diagram to help you with the long aux belt. :-*

when you refit it make sure with engine running that none of the pulleys are shaking especially the crank pulley

Thanks very much for the diagram and all your help have got the pump in now just have to fit it up to the pullys will check the tensioners the haynes manual was doing my head in
