Title: Expert advice needed
Post by: martin3227 on 23 May 2009, 12:25:15
Right, After buying what I thought was a bargain car of ebay and then finding out the EML was unplugged and car driving very slowly. I took it to the garage.

It came up with six codes :

0120,1120,1405,1550,0340,0650.

Low voltage to throttle track 1 - checked the sensor and wiring back to ECU so has advised it is the ECU.

encar still drove but sluggish, changed gear fine. Took the car our today and it felt as if the exhaust was blocked engine struggling to keep going if it is under too much load (too higher gear) so now not drivable!!

I have had quotes for new ECU's part 5wk9158 of £375 + vat. Before i buy this is everyone on agreement that this is the cuase of the problem

Any help would be much appriciated.

Some details on the car, engine size, age etc might help finding the problem.

0650 ignore. Check wiring and connection to cam sensor (0340)
