This may be worth checking out.

Have you done a "paper clip" test ?

ya i done the paperclip test , nothing i was looking at that hot start thing do u no if if works i rang the bloke from there he said it is made for land rovers but will work

The 2.5td has been used in several vehicles.
Not used it myself, but if you supplied the details of your engine and he says it will work, you have that in print if it's not compatible.

Hmmm, not sure - but - it incorporates the 'start of injection' sensor.
It may well stall the engine, as the sensor recognises a sudden drop in pressure when the pipe is slackened.

I reckon this device works okay.
If this problem re-occurs on mine, I'm gonna fit one!

You say 'holding back' .......
Does your car feel like it's permanently towing another car?
This happened to mine, shortly after fitting a new injection pump. My EML was permanently on, and correctly threw-up codes 81/82.
No4 injector changed, EML went out, and right as rain since (touch wood!).
Is the EML lighting-up when the ignition key is in position 2 - proving that it actually works?
(Just wondering if some 'herbert' hadn't previously removed it to 'hide' this fault).

i have a second hand pump but dont want to fit it unless i have to. thats the best way to explain it towing a car like the brakes locked on i put a ar35 box just wondering if i put the chip in would that cure it ? :-? :-?

It sounds awfully like that No.4 injector's at fault here, though I can't understand why the EML isn't lit up, or that no codes have showed on the paper clip test.
Are you sure that the EML is working when you turn the key to position 2?
Very carefully check the wiring from this injector back down to the multi-plug below the inlet manifold.
