Title: Alternator Voltage?

Hi

My battery is showing about 11 volts which rises to 12.5 when the engine is on.

Is this normal please?

There is a battery test guid in the maint sections....but that sounds a little low to me  :-/

Thats to low, should be over 13 at least when engine is on

Way too low.

Official figures are 14.2V - 15.2V, however a good rule of thumb for any motor is 13.8V - 14.4V at 2000rpm with the headlights on for an acceptable charge rate.

Before you condemn the regulator, check the belt tension.
