Hi,
The engine management light is on in our '96 Elite petrol V6. We got the faults read:
Hall sensor voltage high
Can anyone help us
a) Identify which sensor is at fault
b) Where it is located
c) Where to get a replacement
Thanks

Hi and a very warm welcome to the forum.
I do not understand what your code means.
You say you got the code read - presumably at an Opel/Vauxhall garage. Can you tell us more about what they said?
Better would be to perform what is called a "paperclip test" yourself. You bridge two terminals in the Tech 2 point under the steering wheel and the dashboard EML flashes the codes out. It always starts with 12 and finishes with 12 . For more info please see
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1243122147 and click on the "how to paperclip test your car link"
Then let us know the code and also what the problem is with the car e.g. stalling, cutting out.

I believe the hall sensor refers to the cam sensor. If you post the number as said, we can make doubly sure.

hall sensor = cam sensor.
rare failure on v6 - check condition of associated wiring

Thanks for the replies.
The fault code was 94 Hall Sensor Voltage High. This is putting the car into "Limp home mode" i.e. reduced power & a frustrating journey.
Help anyone?
