Title: Different tyre sizes
Post by: Bumbazor on 28 May 2009, 16:40:46
I've seen some nice 18" wheels but they have different tyre sizes. One pair has a RR of 303.85 and the other pair has a RR of 318.6.

Would such a difference cause problems or would these be ok to use? In the medium term (month or two) I would look to replace the smaller tyres to match the larger ones.

Fine as long as you put the matching pair on the same axle...

Put the larger RR on the rear and it will a) look better and b) keep the handling tighter. Presumably one is a width up and a profile lower?

One set is 225/40/18
The other is 215/35/18

I'm checking up on the 215 though as it seems a bit narrow
