Title: Oil change frequency?
Post by: portomega on 30 May 2009, 14:49:15
Right the car just had another service after 10,000 miles, but during the 10,000 i didnt have the oil changed, my mate said due to the age of my car ( its a 53 plate) and its mileage (83,000) i should change the oil at least every 2000 or 3000 miles, is that right? seems a bit over the top to me lol :y

2 or 3000 miles is a little excessive, most aim for around 5000 miles  :y

Yeah that sounds a bit more sensible, probably a dumb question  ::)  but....when the oil gets change should the plugs be changed too?

Not at all.
But as yours is a 4 pot engine with easily accessable plugs, for the few quid a piece you could do while you were in the mood.  ;)  ;) IIRC 2 electrode plugs are designed for 40K & 4 electrode are 80K  :y
