Usually means a transponder problem .. check your key, undo the top/bottom halves and make sure the tiny little black chip hasn't moved !!!  If you have a spare key try that one.

Thanks much. But unfortunately my key lost its chips long ago . so it is only the key alone that i have.

It seems to me that a 19 came up long ago. That was some two weeks ago. But i ignored it.

Cheers

What is the cause of a flashing EML light when key is turned to ign II.

Thanks :( :( :(

Flashing EML means the transponder signal is not being received and so the immobiliser normally would not let the car start as a result...key wont start the car without the immobiliser chip in it...

Is it because of 19. I do remember that the last paperclip gave me a 19.
Well do not have a crank sensor available but will purcahse one.

unlikely.

Is your car 1996 or newer? If so, its a transponder problem most likely

Well do not know what to do with transponder. The mechanic tells me my fuel pump is faulty. Can this be. He tells me it is not pumping enough gas.

Please advice.

if you got 19 then change the c/s, but listen to the others and check out the transponder
