Title: Hinge Pins
Post by: Colin G on 08 June 2009, 12:13:42
Front Drivers door has dropped - can lift and definite wear in the hinges.

Is it just the hinge pins that wear or is more like to be the whole hinge that needs replacing?

Cheers
Col

How about reaming the 6mm to 1/4" (about 6.35mm) The working part of the pin is a standard roll pin, but with an extra bit to enable them to be easily pulled out.

The hinge pin is just a variation on a standard roll pin (selloc is another name used for them) If you use an oversized pin ie 1/4" you'll need an oversized hole for them to go into. ;)  ;)
