Hi
i know this has been talked about before , i have read the posts that explain how to do it . I need to bypass the secondary air injection system , the thing is i got to a point where if you reset the fault the light is dead till the car warms up then you can hear the realy switch off , then the engine check light comes on . the wires i have dont all match up to the colors shown on autodata . Using a motronic 2.8.1 ecu from a omega b x25xe
Relay is a 90491314 - Bosch 0332209136 SAI Relay
Relay Plug

Two plugs in the engine bay

85 is connected to a red/blue wire
86 goes to pin 26 on the ecu brown/violet
87 is a thick black wire , when the car is running it has a reading of 12v , shut off the car then its like a earth .
30 has 2 wires look like a brown/white and a brown/yellow both of these go to the plugs in the engine bay , one on each plug .
on the plugs self one has the brown/white and a brown wire , the other one brown/yellow with a brown wire . both the brown wires are earth wires . i know im missing the wire on 87a witch is a earth . could it be that i have the wrong relay , why would the solenoid need to be connected if there is no wire back to the ecu , how does the ecu know its not there :-? .
Please help .
Thank You

Leave the relay where it is and just pull the 50A fuse that supplies the juice for the pump itself.
-
as far as i know i dont have that fuse because the car didnt have the sai system , so i have no other idea how to get the engine light to stay off , it stays of for a few minutes then you hear the realy click and the light comes on again :(
-
I removed the pipework, the one-way valve and the pump but didn't even consider the fuses and relays, no engine light though.
-
according to the wiring diagram form autodata its wired up correctly , is there another program that i can use to get a wiring digram for the motronic 2.8.1 SAI system ? . i never had the relay had to wait 4 weeks for it to arrive , so hoped that would be the thing to sort it out :'(

i think im going to check all the wires this weekend , even if i have to take out the v6 loom to do it , thats all i can think off .
Thanks for the info guys :y

The electric solenoid operates a vacuum valve which closes off the pipe from pump to SAI non-return valve. I guess its there to stop any hot gasses which manage to get through the non-return from melting the soft rubber air hose.
The solenoid has to be in circuit (or a resistor), the ECU drives the solenoid so can tell if it is open circuit.
