Title: TNT
Post by: STMO123 on 26 November 2007, 12:23:29
TNT have this morning delivered a rather expensive package. Left it with my next door neighbour, no note through my door and did not get a sig. If it hed been next door the other side, I have no doubt that I would never have seen it.

So we know how the CD's with the child benefit info was probably treated.

are there any details on the dockets or delivery notes that name the specific driver??

ring them up and complain

OR one thing you could do is ring up in a few days to complain you havent received it... and get them panicking

Just had the same problem myself with a different courier (DPD/ParcelLine/GeoPost)

They delivered my tyres today, but to the wrong address also - Number 117 instead of 177!

If it wasn't for the nice ( :o ) lady coming to tell me that they sent them there I'd not of got them at all, and thus be £420 out of pocket!!!...  As they just left them behind there gates, and left a note through the door - no signature, nothing...

 >:( >:( >:(

Altho... the lady really was nice... nice lady... nice...  ::)

It has now become a competiton at our house, can the Post Office parcel delivery woman knock on the door, push a 'we called today' card and run backup the drive and drive off before I can get to the door to open it. She's got it down to about 15 seconds now (she MUST write the card before she gets to the hosue!).

If there was an olympic event of 'knock, post and run' she'd be up for a gold.

We have one too - fills the card before getting out of the van, SUe is getting good at getting there to get the parcel and the postal worker chucks the card in the recycle bin.

most of them write the cards out in advance, its a time saver, but still they should knock, wait a bit, and if no answer, knock again!!

THEN leave a card!!

i knock, then step back up the path so if anyone's upstairs they'll see me when they come to the window

its annoying when someone takes forever to come to the door without letting you know they know you're there

while on the subject, did driver training today to use vans, took an LDV (the small sherpa sort) out today for an hour, the assessor told me i was the best driver he'd ever assessed, especially since the van was a big pile of sh*t and i hadnt driven a manual in 12 months!!

nice to know i'm good at something, even tho i dont wanna drive vans at work!!
