Title: Caliper Bolts
Post by: amba on 18 June 2009, 08:12:22
After heated discussion with my local parts guy on phone yesterday,he is now stating that with Brake Disc/Pad kit 93175466 does not come with the caliper bolts, but if you ordered the calipers on their own you do get the bolts...another way of taking the money back from you which you saved buying a kit ?
Does any one know the part number for the bolt kit,as I assume I am correct in saying that if calipers are refitted they should have NEW bolts also fitted.

Are we talking about the M8 x 20-ish bolts that bolt the sliders to the caliper carrier? My TC pads came with 2, already locktited. Why there's only 2 when  you use 2 on each side .........  :-? :-?

I too only had two supplied in the kit I bought, But I assumed I had just been short changed, so to speak. I just fitted one of these new ones to each side coupled with one of the old ones. ::)

Reuse the old bolts with a drop of thread lock on each.
Simples.
